Epic Retro Print Fabric For Jammies?!

Guys- you have to cut me off. Seriously. I GOT MORE FABRIC! But, before the cries of "Oh, Amanda!" begin- I actually bought fabric with a clear purpose and didn't get distracted. You would have been so proud. Oh, and I didn't sing at any of the sales staff this time. Though I may or may not have serenaded the button shelves with an improvised song to the tune of "Final Countdown"... But, hey. One step at a time here.

So, I'm sharing a room for the whole time I'm in the States. And the biggest problem is not sharing power points, concerns about snoring or who will get the shower first in the morning. It is my jammies. My regular jammies are all trashy and wrong sized and that doesn't matter at home. But you add a roommate I have only met at work functions a couple of times and that is where awkward begins. So I grabbed the last metre of "nursery cotton" which is a lovely buttery yellow jersey and a metre of the most gorgeous retro reproduction print I have been eyeing off for ages to make some sleep shorts. Add a kick ass Italian wine and you have my Friday night.

How adorbs is that pattern? I am so stoked with it here is a close up.

And on that note, it's time to start cutting fabric. But first let me distract you with my crazy bird shirt I wore to work today. Kakaw!

P.S. Okay, maybe I  grabbed some pixelated rose sateen on the way out of Spotlight because it was at the register to be reshelved and it was the first floral I have liked in forever because it is not really a floral but whatevs, please don't judge! I almost made it out of a fabric store with no additional purchases...

  1. And the jammie revolution continues!! I was just thinking yesterday that I need to make some too, because sometimes I work from home to accomodate strata visits from contractors and whatnot, and I work in my jammies at home, but I look like a train wreck, and probably should make more of an attempt to be less frightening LOL

Your fabrics are so pretty - love the yellow in particular ^__^

  2. I agree! When you're lounging at home by yourself, it is okay to dress like crap but when someone is with you, you have to dress like crap but with style. You have to look pulled together but dressed down. Hard work, right?

I love the print of both the fabric and the top you wore to work!
