Violet: The Final Frontier

These are the voyages of the sewist, Manderton.

Her all-year mission: to explore strange, new patterns, to seek out new fabric and new techniques, to boldly go where no haphazard sewing blogger has gone before.
And this new realm: blouses with buttons. It is time to voyage to the planet Violet.

This forbidden planet is filled with terrifying oddities like tucks and gathers and peter pan collars. Never fear- these shall all be overcome with the use of a handy-dandy ray-gun (or possibly a toile, but whatevs, that ruins my theme). Currently fabric colours are being tossed around with the finalists one of these two.

And because it is not a Bimble and Pimble project without some crazy print, the finalists for the collar are.

Let's see if stars are reached with this project or if there is a failure to launch.

(I so call this post my epic pun win!)

  1. I wish you luck on your endeavour. Much hope and fingercrossing from someone who has also chartered unfamaliar sewing territory and has, on occasion, made it to the other side.
