For future reference that is also the face I make when I master a new sewing skill. Piping you're next...
With this all behind me I am free to return to a regular training schedule and get back to the wide world of sewing. Yay! I've decided to head back to where it all started and pick up some tips as well with the loveliness of The Colette Sewing Handbook. Colette Patterns are what got me into the whole sewing business so I figure it's nice to revisit. First cab off the rank is the Meringue Skirt. I'm going with a crazy print (surprise!) from Ikea and the pieces I'll be using are actually from the picnic blankets from my wedding. Who doesn't love a good recycle?
So bear with me over the next week as I get my groove back and hopefully get this skirt done did. I'm in need of a wood plank work skirt!
I just received this book in the mail last week! I'm a bit slow on the uptake, I'm going to tackle the taffy blouse soon methinks..
ReplyDeleteLonnie- the Taffy is rad! It is all I have made from the book so far and it taught me lots of mad skills. French seams for the win!
